In 2022, after a successful 28-year career in Industrial Sales, Chris Reichartz made a courageous and faith-filled decision to retire and step away from the comforts of the American dream—his home, Mustang, and a steady income—to fully dedicate himself to serving with Mercy’s Light Family.

Chris’s heart is to see orphans and widows thrive. His mission is to empower them through literacy and small business development, with the goal of helping them become self-supporting within three years.

As Financial Director, Chris plays a vital role in overseeing budgets and resources, managing administrative operations, and keeping things running smoothly—whether it’s fixing farm equipment or troubleshooting housing needs. Known for bringing joy and a great sense of humor to every situation, Chris is a steady, dependable presence and a big part of what makes Mercy’s Light feel like family.
