Barbara Arango

Barbara Arango is an accomplished nonprofit executive with extensive experience as an Executive Director and board member across multiple mission‑driven organizations. She is deeply committed to building strong communities, delivering meaningful value, and fostering sustainable growth within diverse and dynamic environments. Her expertise spans organizational leadership, strategic planning, and the development of high‑impact programs that advance long‑term goals. Barbara holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a CAE certification from the American Society of Association Executives.

Her passion for supporting young women who choose life in the midst of exploitation, abuse, and profound hardship is what drew her to Mercy’s Light. She is inspired by the organization’s mission to bring the light of Christ into places of darkness and is honored to contribute her leadership to this transformative work.
